Tiger’s Nest, Bhutan

Tiger’s Nest, a Buddhist monastery built into the side of a mountain in the Himalayas, was a bucket list experience for me. I remember seeing a photo of it when I was younger and imagining how lucky I would be if I ever got to see it. I’d developed a horrible respiratory infection in India, and flown back to Delhi early to rest before my flight to Bhutan. I wasn’t sure I would make the hike up to Tiger’s Nest, and it was raining buckets, but my amazing guide, Tashi, walked extra slow with me. When I got to the top, and could see Tiger’s Nest at the adjacent mountain, I burst into tears of happiness.

Hi, I'm Koren! I started this blog back in 2012, when I was an unhappy lawyer living in New York City. I needed a creative outlet, and I've always loved writing, photography, and travel. Little did I know, this blog would end up changing my life! Since then, I've moved to California and done a total life and career transformation. After a five-year hiatus, I'm excited to share recent photography here.
